Benghazi and Carter's Second Term

I have heard our current President referred to as Jimmy Carter's second term. As these four years have gone by the similarities have become more and more striking to me. High energy prices, failed foreign policy, failed fiscal policy, diminished military, and a depressed America. Our enemies attack and kill us and we apologize and blame ourselves. Talking heads in the media say, "this is what you get when you have a heavily armed population". When many Americans see overwhelming proof in their lives that Liberal policies do not work the University Elite continues to offer opinions that say they do and have worked. We just need to be patient.

In 1981 America felt like our best days were behind us. We felt like we would be the first generation to achieve less than our parents. Our enemies sensed our leaderships lack of resolve and took advantage of it.

This latest uprising in the middle east is
1. Not our fault
2. Not a fringe group of radicals.

Since the cold war began the Left has negotiated with our enemies by.

1. Entering treaties that only we keep.
2. Acting surprised when the treaties are broken.
3. Entering another treaty with the same party but, saying,"you play nice this time".

Vietnam was and is the Left's greatest war because they were able to see America defeated. Oh, how the MSM hated Reagan for standing up and calling the evil of his time evil. His Democratic Congress turned their back on Nicaragua and attacked Reagan for wanting to keep the Soviet Union out of our hemisphere. Playing nice with people who want to destroy us has never worked.

It seems to me Islam is the "Religion of Perpetual Outrage. Where in the world does Islam strive to coexist when it is the majority? Where in our world does it bring peace to its adherents? Our government has meetings with the "Muslim Brotherhood", and refuses meetings with Israel so as to have time for "Letterman". We give billions to people who want to destroy us and our allies.

What saved us during the Clinton second term was a Republican Congress that refused to let him spend as much as he wanted. President Clinton was a pragmatist if anything else and moved "Right" in his second term and negotiated with Republicans. Our current President is an ideologue who will double down on policies that do not work and have never been shown to work. He will govern by edict apart from the rule of law because it is the "right" thing to do.

America is the greatest civilization in history. We are the greatest people in history. We have spent our money and spilled our blood to help other defeat evil and achieve prosperity and after the last four years we are ready to feel good about ourselves again.
